Your day at NTT DATA

The Networking Remote Technical Support Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing a professional remote technical support service to clients by identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance of customer network systems (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
  2. Troubleshooting network issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  3. Creating technical documentation, conducting network and infrastructure audits, and processing service requests with NTT solution providers.
  4. Collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our customer systems.
  5. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in network engineering.
  6. Implementing proactive measures and best practices to enhance customer systems, providing additional value and ensuring optimal performance.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in network engineering.
  2. Excellent analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively.
  3. Good knowledge of switching and routing technologies, primarily Cisco solutions.
  4. Ability for occasional trips to on-site activities.
  5. Proficient in network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, EIGRP.
  6. Document editorial skills (documentation, audits, etc.) in Polish and English.
  7. Self-reliance and a desire for exploring new technologies.
  8. Deep knowledge of common network protocols and services, such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, SIP, FTP, SNMP, SSH/SCP.
  9. English at a minimum B2 level.

Any of the following will be an additional asset:

  1. Proven experience in managing network security, including firewalls, VPNs, endpoint security.
  2. Microsoft AD/ADFS system management.
  3. Hands-on experience with WLAN technologies.
  4. Familiarity with virtualization technologies, including VMware and/or SDN products such as Cisco ACI.
  5. Experience with Ekahau solutions or equivalent.
  6. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
  7. Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification (or similar advanced networking/security certifications).
  8. Polish (ABW or SKW) security clearance at secret level or readiness to obtain.
