Experience in deploying, managing, and maintaining large enterprise virtualization technologies including ESXi, Cloud, KVM, Docker containers, OpenStack (HOS), OpenShift.

Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Systems infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models.

Operate in complex, highly secure, highly available, operations-centric datacenter environments and interact with other technology domain experts as required.

Working knowledge of monitoring and automation tools: Ansible, Netcool, Splunk, Prometheus, Opera.

Security Remediation process (vulnerability assessment and patch management).

Respond to and resolve incident and problem tickets.

Document and thoroughly understand the application architecture, system configuration across platforms and interface with various systems and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issues.

Work closely with customer support team to communicate the root cause of the outage, duration and recommendations or steps to resolve issues.

Demonstrate an elevated level of technical expertise to support complex Unix Systems across all tiers, under minimal supervision.

Exposure to converged hardware including Dell, Cisco, HP and EMC, Hitachi HDS.

Proficient in troubleshooting storage related issues as it relates to EMC, Hitachi HDS storage arrays, extending to the basic support knowledge of Brocade storage switch technologies.

Must have Strong Knowledge & experience in system monitoring techniques and tools supporting unattended operations.

Responsible for partnering with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support for all Visa business lines.

Responsible for adherence to established ITIL practice.

Ability to operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available, operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments.

Position will require shift-based work hours.

Provide automation solutions of manual tasks performed by infrastructure support.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
  1. 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  2. Experience in Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Docker, Containers, OpenStack, OpenShift.
  3. Experience supporting shared infrastructure i.e., HP blade server, Cisco Blade (UCS), Dell Blade (UCS) Infrastructure (Dell, HP, VMWare), IBM Power Systems.
  4. Strength in scripting against Windows, Unix, VMWare, Docker using Shell, Python, Perl & Power CLI. Ansible automation experience is highly recommended.
  5. Experience in storage technologies is required & exposure to cloud will be a value add.
  6. Experience working in large, complex, enterprise datacenter environments.
  7. Ability to write technical design and build documentation for all aspects of Unix Infrastructure.
  8. Excellent verbal, written, skills in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally.
  9. Strong understanding of process orientation (ITIL), understanding of project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
  10. Individuals should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  11. Sound planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
  12. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.
  13. Strong project, organizational, presentation, and writing skills.
  14. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects.
  15. Experience supporting a 24x7 Operational environment, requiring shift support.
  16. Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments.
  17. Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize, and manage situations to satisfactory completion.
  18. Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams.
  19. Must have 4-6 Years of Shared Infra (VMware, Container) Systems Administration experience in relevant technology.
