Offer Description

The Faculty of Management and Economics, Department of Finance is seeking a full-time assistant professor in the research and teaching staff group. We are looking for a person who is open to teamwork, is enthusiastic, enjoys working with students and focused on research and grant acquisition.

TASKS/ROLE
* conducting lectures, exercises and laboratories in English and/or Polish in selected subjects related to: finance, financial investments, financial markets, risk management, financial mathematics, financial and managerial accounting
* carrying out, together with the whole team, research defined by the Department of Finance in the field of finance and accounting
* participation in organisational work for the benefit of the department and the faculty, including the organisation of scientific conferences
* acquisition of grant
* conducting research work and publishing activity
* involvement in research projects conducted at the Faculty

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
* doctoral degree in: economics/finance/management
* at least 2 years of teaching experience
* research output in accounting and/or finance
* publications in journals indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science databases
* knowledge of finance and accounting issues
* fluency in spoken and written English
* high evaluations of the teaching provided as confirmed by student surveys

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
* ability to use IT and statistical tools in teaching and research
* operation of the Symfonia accounting software
* fluency in spoken and written Polish
