Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the booking of invoices in SAP or XENTIS systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead the proactive and independent processing of incoming invoices, payment instructions, approvals, tracking, bookings, and payment runs.
- Address and resolve complex inquiries and complaints related to payment processes, acting as an escalation point for the team.
- Supervise and ensure accuracy in payment processing, supporting fund accountants in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Oversee reconciliation activities with custodians and monitor budgets and liquidity, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate on and lead the professional and technical development of the team and assigned tasks.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting operations.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Drive the knowledge transition process, including:
- Leading training sessions with the outgoing team at the originating location.
- Developing detailed process documentation and best practices for the local team.
- Ensuring a seamless transfer of responsibilities, tools, and systems.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for process clarifications, system issues, and troubleshooting during and after the transition phase.
Your skills and experience:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following:
- Previous experience in accounting, particularly in fund accounting or accounts payable, preferably on senior position
- Strong expertise in German VAT law and accounting regulations is highly preferred.
- Advanced MS Office skills, with proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is a strong advantage.
- Very good English & German language skills.
- Proven experience in leading knowledge transitions or process migrations is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex situations independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of guiding team members.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and lead change initiatives.
