Managing operational and strategic relationship between Arelion's internal stakeholders and our IT and Indirect vendors. Indirect Procurement is the sourcing of all goods and services for a business to enable it to maintain and develop its operations. The goods and services classified under the umbrella of Indirect Procurement are commonly bought for consumption by internal stakeholders (business units or functions). Indirect Procurement categories include, but are not limited to:

  • Marketing-related services (media buying, agencies)
  • Professional Services (tax consultants, advisers)
  • Travel Management services (Travel desk office)
  • IT related services (hardware, software)
  • HR related services (recruitment agencies, training)
  • Facilities Management and office services (Telecoms, furniture, cleaning, catering, printers)
  • Utilities (gas, electricity, water)
  • Fleet Management (cars)
  • Logistics – storage and shipping

Operational Management:

  • Act as the primary contact between external IT and Indirect vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate all vendor management activities related to IT and Indirect procurement.
  • Lead and manage RFQs for IT and Indirect procurement from sourcing to implementation and consequent renewals/changes.
  • Ensure market research is properly conducted for potential vendors.
  • Ensure due diligence, risk assessment, and ongoing vendor monitoring.
  • Run commercial negotiations with selected vendors to secure the best terms.
  • Develop and negotiate vendor contracts, including Master Agreements, Delivery Contracts, Purchase Orders to ensure alignment with business strategies.
  • Advise and support stakeholders on procurement processes.
  • Establish long-term agreements to reduce transactional work and optimize quality, service, and cost.
  • Track, measure, and evaluate vendor performance and spend.
  • Monitor contractual agreements and ensure compliance.
  • Lead regular supplier review meetings and drive cost efficiency initiatives.
  • Assist in developing procurement strategies by conducting market and industry analysis.

Negotiation and Cost Management:

  • Lead negotiation with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Achieve and exceed savings and cost avoidance KPIs to contribute to the company's financial goals.

Ownership and Accountability:

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility for tasks and projects.
  • Take initiative to drive projects to completion.
