Job Description
  1. To consistently offer professional, friendly, and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
  2. Co-management and training of kitchen staff, scheduling of work, and evaluation of staff performance.
  3. To ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets Raffles quality standards.
  4. To produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise.
  5. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  6. Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
  7. To fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
  8. Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
  9. To order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
  10. To balance operational, administrative, and Colleagues' needs.
  11. To follow kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
  12. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Qualifications
  1. Previous leadership experience as Junior Sous Chef required.
  2. Diploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an asset.
  3. Good command of Polish and English.
  4. Excellent record of kitchen and staff management.
  5. Proven track record of cost control including food, equipment, labour, and wastage to meet the food quality goals and the hotel's financial goals.
  6. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
  7. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Highly responsible & reliable.
  9. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  11. Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
