About the Role:
- Search through approved sources to understand and translate news into Spanish.
- Translate market reports and stories from English to Spanish.
- Apply news judgment and select relevant news for Reuters News online clients, packaging it with relevant pictures, videos, and graphics.
- Write headlines and news summaries accurately and quickly, upholding high standards of credibility according to Reuters principles.
- Distinguish between market-moving figures and comments, filtering out news stories from various sources, including electronic releases, conference calls, and webcasts.
About You:
- You should have fluency in both English and Spanish.
- You must possess strong translation skills.
- A good news judgment is essential.
- Ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy, and freedom from bias is crucial.
- A sound command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation is required.
- Comfort with handling financial data and facts is necessary.
- Knowledge of corporate activity, stock markets, and financial vocabulary is beneficial, or the ability to acquire such knowledge quickly is preferred.
- Adaptability under time pressure is a must.
- Willingness to work shifts is expected.
