This role serves as the Functional Lead building and maintaining configuration and operation of the Recruiting and Talent modules of our global human resource information system, Workday. Responsible for ensuring data integrity, documentation, successful testing of system changes, and analyzing business processes for improvement opportunities. Your Responsibilities:

Process Expertise and Business Partnership

  1. Provide Workday functional consulting and direction to members of the Centers of Expertise (COE), HR functions (HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting) and other business key stakeholders
  2. Supports functional system configuration in Workday with a strong focus on the Recruiting and Talent Management Function
  3. Ensures accuracy and integrity of data entered into Workday.
  4. Prepares ad hoc reports as needed using Workday or other tools
  5. Understand functional and technical architecture of Workday and related interfaces that serve as data providers
  6. Must be comfortable developing and owning processes and procedures including researching best practices, requirements gathering, documenting, testing, and communicating new process and procedure to Elanco's Global organization

Process Governance

  1. Assists and in some cases owns the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of HRIS systems
  2. Propose, document and implement new or revised processes to improve data integrity, security management, configuration and promote the consistent use of HR data and HRIS systems
  3. Monitors business processes in Workday to ensure alignment with process flow documentation
  4. Adheres to all company, country, local and other applicable laws or SOx requirements with respect to data usage and storage

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma / GED with equivalent level of experience.
  2. Required Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Workday configuration experience, specifically in the Talent and Recruiting modules.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive towards a solution despite ambiguity or uncertainty.
  4. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within tight time constraints.
  5. Strong focus on being a strategic partner with your COEs and ability to lead those discussions.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  1. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  2. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Advanced MS Excel Skills.
  3. Strong analytic and diagnostic skills as well as a data-driven and metrics-driven approach.
  4. Experience with Workday and supporting tools (Customer Connect, OX2.0, Workday Docs, BIRT).
  5. Ability to refine processes based on best practices.
  6. Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles.
  7. Experience working within an organization that utilizes Agile methodologies.
