For our client, we are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist.

We require a professional with accounting experience in international structures and fluency in English. This role offers the opportunity to work for a global leader in the diagnostics/medical industry as part of a dynamic team of AP accountants.

Job Overview
  • A full-time employment contract based on mutual cooperation.
  • A hybrid work arrangement, combining 3 days of office work with 2 days of remote work per week.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparing payment proposals and submitting them for approval.
  2. Executing payments and uploading them to the company bank account.
  3. Maintaining correspondence with creditors and vendors regarding payment schedules, outstanding credits, etc.
  4. Maintaining accurate accounts payable master data records.
  5. Ensuring VAT coding is accurate and compliant.
  6. Verifying cost centre coding and ensuring relevant approvals are received and tracked.
  7. Tracking all payments, expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.
  8. Reconciling cash at bank and maintaining accurate records.
  9. Providing support during audits and tax preparations.
  10. Verifying expense reports.
  11. Preparing analyses of accounts and other monthly reports.
  12. Continuously improving the payment process.
Requirements
  • A university degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an AP department.
  • Previous experience working within a multinational environment.
  • A general understanding of basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (C1 level minimum).
  • Nice to have knowledge of additional languages (French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese). Nice to have knowledge of SAP software.
