The RTR Accountant plays a critical role in managing the General Ledger function, with a strong emphasis on revenue-related accounts and financial close processes. This position ensures compliance with US GAAP standards and contributes to accurate financial reporting. Key responsibilities include month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and flux analysis, especially for new products. The role also involves supporting quarterly reporting deliverables and driving continuous process improvements.

YOU WILL

  • Prepare journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and conduct flux analysis for new products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and timely financial close.
  • Implement and monitor revenue recognition policies in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Analyze contracts to identify revenue-generating activities and ensure ethical revenue recognition practices.
  • Conduct flow analysis on revenue accounts, providing insights into financial impacts.
  • Assist in quarterly reporting deliverables, including collaboration on 10Q/10K processes.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial data and adherence to reporting standards.
  • Maintain high standards for SOX compliance, specifically focusing on revenue recognition practices.
  • Support internal audits and ensure all processes align with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Accounting Operations (AP/AR) and Financial Reporting to optimize processes.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for revenue recognition policies and financial close activities.

YOU NEED
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on revenue recognition and financial close processes.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition guidance.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems; experience with NetSuite and SQL is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, especially in revenue-related analysis.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a proven ability to handle complex accounts and tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
