Job Summary

This role presents an opportunity for a significant contribution to the firmwide legal entity model risk framework team within Citi.

The successful candidate will report into the Global Model Risk Management (MRM) function, overseeing key responsibilities:

  1. Ongoing assessment of the regulatory landscape related to model risk, ensuring compliance and executing remediation plans where necessary
  2. Leadership in the development and implementation of LE-specific Model Risk Procedures
  3. Primary 2nd line of defence (2LoD) lead, collaborating with the 1st line of defence on critical model identification, ranking, and attestations
  4. Independent review and challenge of LE-specific model risk appetite frameworks and key risk indicators (KRI)
  5. Presentation of model risk reporting materials to executive and governance committees
  6. Oversight of intercompany services supporting 2LoD model risk management activities
Requirements
  • 6-10 years' experience in risk management, risk governance, or regulatory-based roles within financial services
  • In-depth knowledge of model risk guidance from international regulators
  • Excellent communication skills to guide and negotiate internally and with auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Proven ability in cross-functional project and stakeholder management, solving complex problems, and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to operate with minimal direct supervision
  • Capacity to drive innovation through thought leadership while maintaining an end-to-end view
  • Intellectual curiosity to stay up-to-date with regulatory and industry advancements
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
