Role & Responsibilities

  • The event marketing manager will support all customer events within pre-defined territories by crafting engaging virtual & in-person event experiences to communicate Cisco's story and drive awareness and demand while aligning with Cisco's core marketing campaigns and disciplines.
  • Activate Event Requests and input needs and drive effective engagements that meet customer needs and Cisco business objectives.
  • Lead and run the Go-To-Marketing Event Calendar for the region as a single source of truth for approved events, aligning with the region's plans.
  • Work closely with the Local Marketing Team to plan, consolidate and communicate on live, virtual and on-demand events.
  • Program and project management for defined events from A to Z.
  • Collaborate with Cisco teams to define requirements and objectives, lead expectations and communications from the inception of engagement through delivery and follow-up.
  • Manage success matrix reporting for all events to measure the impact. A demand generation approach and lead management knowledge is a must.
  • Work with the Global Strategic Event Team to ensure contractual and compliance policy.
  • Work with Marketing on processes such as Event website, agenda, registration, invitation, Email Comms, event promotion, Event follow-up, leads, and brand engagement while ensuring an excellent Customer Experience.
  • Work with the CVENT Registration Platform to create and run registration experiences.
  • Lead Cisco´s participation at select 3rd party industry events where we participate as Event Sponsor key events.

Program: Cisco Engage Events (30 -100 people):

These are events initiated by other teams and departments by the sales and marketing teams. There will be 10 to 15 of them per quarter, and the event managers' role will be Registration process support with Cvent and the event manager role is Data and lead management process Tagging, tracking and reporting guidance and process Go-To-Market-Event Calendar Mgmt.

Program: Cisco Connect Events (500 -1,000 people):

The event program managers will manage these marketing-funded flagship events from conception to complete execution. These events are a top priority for countries, and all local teams will be involved in execution and delivery. There will be one or two of them per year, and the event managers' role will include:

  • Project Management
  • Preparation of the program together with architecture teams
  • Location scouting
  • Briefing and providing all creative assets (Experience design)
  • Registration process with Cvent
  • All marketing aspects, including Cisco website presence
  • Agenda and Content Management, including speakers (internal and external)
  • Cross business correspondence/participation
  • Creative look and feel
  • Audience Acquisition alignment
  • Internal Comms
  • Attendee experience
  • Agency & Budget management
  • Data and lead management process, including Omnichannel marketing tagging and tracking
  • Campaign alignment
  • Alignment with privacy / GDPR & Sustainability alignment
  • Reporting (Metrics and ROI)
  • Content strategy & management (sessions, keynotes and speakers)
  • Financial assistance (POs, partner funding management and compliance)

Minimum Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of Event Management experience in a similar role within a global company.
  • Willing to learn and motivated to adopt different event tools as needed within our Technology Stack.
  • Natural leader, highly organised and an excellent project manager.
  • Ability to handle various priorities within the teams.
  • A standout colleague within a larger organisation talking to different functions and locations.
  • Willing to collaborate and learn with local Marketing teams to provide an outstanding event experience end-to-end.
  • Experience with event tools and processes is a plus, as well as registration and website management via Cvent or similar, MS Office, and marketing automation tools.
  • High-level verbal, written and positive communicator
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Validated stakeholder management, including internal and external teams.
  • Able to work in a sophisticated, policy-driven work environment, handling multiple projects at the same time.
  • Good financial and compliance expertise regarding Events.
  • Language: English & other pan European language.
