For our international client, we are looking for a Controlling Team Leader to take responsibility for developing a team supporting Sales & Marketing across multiple countries.
This is a role combining people management, business controlling, and process transformation. We are looking for someone who understands not only controlling, but also how the business operates and how financial data can support better business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the controlling team – currently 2 people, with planned growth to around 6.
- Build the team structure, develop capabilities and participate in recruitment.
- Analyse sales performance, profitability, costs and key business KPIs.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to Sales, Marketing and Management.
- Oversee forecasting, management reporting, month-end closing and cost controlling.
- Standardise and improve controlling processes across an international organisation.
- Coordinate the transfer of processes from local controlling teams to a central function.
- Build strong relationships with international stakeholders across Finance and Controlling.
- Drive continuous improvement and process efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, Business Finance or a similar area.
- Strong business understanding and the ability to connect financial results with business drivers.
- Ability to turn financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Experience in transformation, centralisation, transition or process standardisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working in an international environment.
- English at minimum B2 level.
- Experience in Sales / Commercial Controlling, FP&A or SAP S/4HANA will be a strong advantage.
- Industry background is not a key requirement – business understanding and controlling expertise are more important than manufacturing experience.
