Job Description

As the Junior Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the accounts payable function across multiple regions. You will ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. You will also hold responsibility for the Vendor Master Data team, GRIR & Debit balance analytics teams. Equally important for you will be a continuous improvement approach and business transformation promoting best practices, top market standards, and modern tools and technologies. You will partner with and influence the strategic sourcing organization, production plants, and other departments.

You will work in a hybrid model of work in our Katowice office and report directly to the Senior Manager, Global Process Owner - Procure to Pay. The role will manage a team of approximately 80 employees with 5+ direct reports.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines with strong support from P2P GPO & Global AP manager.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with colleagues and internal/external partners.
  • Maintain good relations with suppliers, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring timely payments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
  • Create and keep up-to-date process documentation and SOPs to simplify and automate processes and achieve cooperation among the teams.
  • Hire, train, and mentor accounts payable staff to guarantee a high-performing team.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
  • Oversee the monthly closing of financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee and solve deficiencies of the process by discovering, describing, and removing root causes.
  • Along with P2P GPO & Global AP manager, create a modern mindset and environment in AP with the end goal to support global proactive spend management, working capital improvement, and cash management.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Team management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Proficient English - spoken and written min B2.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 3+ years of experience managing accounts payable functions across multiple regions or countries.
  • Experience or good understanding of procurement and the end-to-end P2P process.
  • SAP knowledge.
