What we're looking for

We are recruiting for a Global Payroll Specialist to join our team in Poland.

As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and effective delivery of the company's monthly payroll through a 3rd party vendor in an outsource arrangement. This position reports to the International Payroll Manager and focuses on payroll delivery for several countries in the EMEA region.

What you'll be doing

  1. Co-ordinating employee and payroll information between the company and the in-country payroll provider.
  2. Reviewing the preliminary payroll reports from the payroll provider (variances and calculations where applicable) for payment, including third party payments to the local tax and social security authorities, pension funds, etc.
  3. Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes.
  4. Adhering to payroll processing procedures and timelines.
  5. Managing shared payroll mailbox – providing efficient and professional responses to queries from employees, internal partners, and country payroll providers.
  6. Managing monthly banking processing, statutory declarations, and payments.
  7. Ensuring compliance with all country-specific policies and procedures.
  8. Participating in M&A & project-related activities across multiple functions.
  9. Collaborating with P&O and finance colleagues & ensuring data is provided & received in a timely manner.
  10. Liaising with local Finance to provide accurate cash funding requirements and appropriate documentation.
  11. Ensuring timely preparation of general ledger data as it pertains to payroll, assisting with account reconciliations & queries for Payroll related GL Accounts.
  12. Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.

What you'll bring

  1. Proven Payroll experience managing multiple country payrolls, certification strongly preferred.
  2. Knowledge of payroll-related tax and legislative processes including equity.
  3. Strong customer service skills and quality-focused.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization.
  5. Experience with Workday is highly preferable.
  6. Knowledge of HR and payroll business processes.
  7. A finance background and understanding of accounting principles is preferred.
  8. Proficient skills in Excel.
  9. Must perform well in a high-energy, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
  10. Excellent organization & time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  11. High degree of initiative, mature judgment, and discretion.
  12. Proficiency in both written and verbal English and another European language is preferred.
