We are looking for experienced technicians to be the first members of our newly established Polish Technician Pool. You will be part of a permanently employed flexible technician team initially supporting service and troubleshooting activities on SGRE Offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. This pool will then form the core team to support Polish windfarms coming online in 2026.

The role will involve leading small teams to deliver service and other scheduled/unscheduled maintenance activities on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG). This is a travelling role so technicians can live anywhere in Poland working a 2 week on 2 week off shift pattern.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

  1. Leading a team of technicians to safely deliver Maintenance and Troubleshooting activities on Offshore Windfarms.
  2. Active safety leadership when in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts/conditions.
  3. Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards and legislation in relation to Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery.
  4. Remote diagnosis of turbine faults.
  5. Support technical supervision of critical tasks as required.
  6. Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation, and equipment.
  7. Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages/tasks. Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations.
  8. Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities to assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans for site teams as in conjunction with Service Planner / Service Coordinator / Stores Operators if required.
  9. Provide accurate time booking data.
  10. Comply with task related EHS, Quality and Technical documentation and ensure compliance at site level with all requirements. e.g. Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  11. Onsite support for customer operational issues and site visits.
  12. Support your own personal development and the development of other technicians.
  13. Work proactively with 3rd party technicians, contractors and sub-contractors and facilitate planning and execution of 3rd party work including EHS compliance.

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for:

  1. Ideally qualified to a minimum of MT level on the Siemens Wind Turbine Competence Framework (WTCF) or have a formal electrical background and education.
  2. A proactive approach to all areas of Health and Safety for both yourself and your team.
  3. A strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work individually.
  4. A valid driving license and be able to pass an offshore medical.
  5. Previous experience of carrying out fault finding or troubleshooting on electrical/mechanical systems.
  6. Right to work in the UK is essential; right to work in the UK and the EU is highly advantageous.
