Head of Accounts Receivable with German in Kraków

We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounts Receivable with German to lead the development and implementation of our new Accounts Receivable function in Poland.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, management, and governance of the accounts receivable operations at our Poland Centre. This is a unique opportunity to build and oversee efficient, customer-focused systems and processes that add real value to the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective accounts receivable strategies and processes to improve cash flow and reduce days outstanding.
  • Lead a team of professionals to manage and optimize accounts receivable operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and productivity gains.
  • Analyze financial data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a team lead (or equivalent) position.
  • Knowledge of English at least at B2/C1 level and German at least B1/B2 or above.
  • Completed studies in the field of finance/accounting.
  • Track record of delivery in GBS operations leadership.
  • A proven track record of CI initiatives delivered.
  • Great team builder that leads through example and a hands-on engagement style.
  • Energetic, supportive, and non-hierarchical leadership style.
  • Detailed and accurate, able to manage a team to metrics, targets, and KPIs.
  • Good commercial knowledge of working in IFRS and associated accounting principles.
  • Experience of working with Customer Master, Billing, Cash Applications, and Collections, and overall Receivables activity.
  • Experience of working with SAP for Finance and specific Finance transactions, including FI/CO modules.
  • Experience of working in Finance Operations Function in a R2R Value Stream.
  • Experience of leading Accounts Receivables teams working on SAP platforms.
