Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) and Trusted AI Engineering team. Joining this team will give you the opportunity to transform compliance processes and develop robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient automated regulatory adherence for critical Autodesk products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and achieve key business outcomes.

Location: Poland, hybrid working model

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and secure Evidence Collection, Compliance automation infrastructure and/or Trusted AI backend system.
  2. Contribute to the technical roadmap and address technical debt, balancing time, resources, and quality constraints.
  3. Collaborate with product managers, software architects, user experience designers, software engineers, and stakeholders to form technical solutions and align quality goals with business objectives.
  4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and metrics.
  5. Plan and manage software development releases using Agile methodologies.
  6. Promote collaboration through open/inner source development models.
  7. Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and technologies.
  8. Drive continuous improvement in processes, methodologies, and practices.
  9. Apply continuous attention to technical excellence, secure coding principles and good design, resulting in a straightforward solution and reducing complexity.
  10. Conduct regular reviews and audits of SDLC processes to identify areas for improvement.
  11. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers.
  12. Foster a culture of innovation, quality and accountability across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on data platforms, infrastructure or distributed systems.
  2. Extensive experience integrating data and automating processes.
  3. Expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM.
  4. Proficiency in Python programming language.
  5. Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  6. Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform/CloudFormation or Serverless framework.
  7. Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and secure data solutions.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  10. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  11. Experience in upholding and enforcing comprehensive code quality standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in achieving Compliance certification for software product (e.g., SOC, FedRAMP, GDPR).
  2. Experience in working in IAM (Identity and Access Management) solutions.
  3. Experience developing / working with Security tools.
  4. Experience collaborating with Compliance team.
  5. Experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
  6. Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., SOC, FedRAMP, GDPR).
  7. Knowledge of other cloud providers (Azure, GCP…).
