The company specialises in delivering complete data centre solutions, offering services from design through to construction, encompassing civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical services, as well as commissioning.

The organisation is currently undertaking multiple turnkey data centre projects in seven European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load.

A job opportunity exists for an Electrical Lead to join the team.

The following are typical duties associated with this role:

  • Electrical Systems Management: Overseeing the Electrical Systems package.
  • Site Safety Management: Collaborating with the Project Manager and Winthrop's Safety Advisor to ensure site safety, including setup, management, and closure of the safety file.
  • Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Culture: Fostering a focused Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture within the team.
  • Site QA Management: Working with the Winthrop QA Manager to manage Site QA, including setup, management, and closure of the file.
  • Project Schedule Management: Collaborating with the Project Manager, consulting Engineer, and Client requirements to manage the project schedule.
  • Cost Management: Managing costs associated with the package, including material deliveries, goods receipting, plant and equipment.
  • Day-to-Day Site Operations: Managing all day-to-day site operations.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensuring adherence to Winthrop Policies and procedures.
  • Sub-Contractor Activities: Managing sub-contractor activities, tracking progress against schedule, manpower levels, and ensuring weekly meetings.
  • In Progress Snagging System: Managing the Winthrop 'In Progress' snagging system, including distribution of snags to sub-contractors.
  • Direct Labour Hours and Sub-Contractor Hours: Issuing direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to the time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Site Meetings and Reviews: Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Trade Qualification or Relevant Third-Level Qualification
  • Minimum 5 Years of Previous Experience in Project Management
  • Proven Record of Coordinating and Managing Large Installation Projects
  • Experience Dealing with Industrial Relations Issues
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experience in Design and Build
  • Good Technical Knowledge of Both Electrical and Mechanical Systems
  • Able to Drive a Large-Scale Project
