The GSS Project Controls Team Leader is responsible for the ongoing development of project controls processes. This role is focused on all project controls ERP systems. Responsible for service level agreements review. Lead major improvement programs, streamline current processes, drive standardization and optimization of newly transitioned processes (also using previous experience). Supports Project Management Leadership Team with initiatives as required. Works as a people manager. Task-based contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews data entered to ensure completeness and accuracy
  2. Accomplishes tasks by completing related results as needed
  3. Provides input on data collection that optimize efficiencies and data quality
  4. Provides input on design and development of a standard set of SAP templates
  5. Analyzes and interprets data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness
  6. Process improvement identification and implementation
  7. Prepares and delivers internal trainings
  8. Creates and updates job aids to align with current process
  9. Supervises and coordinates specialists
  10. Provides training for project management community
  11. Mentors team members as needed
  12. Participates in internal and external audits
  13. Identifies data issues and collaborates with EPMO group to drive data governance
  14. Identifies gaps in current data entry processes and drives strategic solutions for stakeholders needs
  15. Leads major projects
  16. Supports Project Management Leadership Council to drive process improvements
  17. Provides technical expertise and guidance for project controls processes
  18. Holds thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, corresponding processes
  19. Acts as a people manager: creates development plans, performance objectives
  20. Holds team meetings, 1-2-1 meetings and ad hoc meetings with subordinates
  21. Motivates the team to deliver high quality service
  22. Allocates work across the team
  23. Participates in team capacity planning and in the recruitment process
  24. Responsible for onboarding new team members
  25. Internal client facing role (calls, presentations to internal stakeholders both from the business and EPMO)
  26. Responsible for team's service delivery according to SLA's
  27. Maintains team's attrition level according to the annual objective

Qualifications:

  1. B.A., B.S. in Business or Computer Science
  2. 3-5 years of global experience
  3. Knowledge of Westinghouse and the industry
  4. Proven track record with respect to knowledge of financial processes, controls, and associated improvement programs
  5. A general understanding of Westinghouse systems and data quality needs
  6. Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  7. Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
  8. Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task
  9. Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
  10. Detail oriented with a problem-solving mindset and ability to meet deadlines and be results oriented
  11. Desire to produce accurate, high-quality work with attention to details
  12. Proficient in SAP PS, MS Office, and other software packages
  13. Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing project needs in evolving situations
  14. Process driven with focus on quality
  15. Business acumen
