Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Operations professional to join our team at TE Connectivity. As an IT Operations Team member, you will play a critical role in supporting the installation and configuration of computer hardware and software, as well as ongoing maintenance of our data centers.

You will be responsible for monitoring batch schedules, troubleshooting issues, and providing timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customers to appropriate technical personnel.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.

Responsibilities:Local Infrastructure & Devices
  • Install and Integrate: Set up and integrate computer hardware and software, ensuring seamless network integration.
  • Maintain and Support: Keep PCs, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, printers, and other peripherals running smoothly across our locations.
  • Network Management: Support and maintain manufacturing networks, including machine PCs and systems like Hydra.
  • Tech Support: Provide first and second-level user and technical support in collaboration with our partners.
  • Security and Compliance: Oversee virus protection, data backup, documentation, license management, and SCCM reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Server Assistance: Help with server installation and administration alongside our partners.
  • Network Installation: Assist in setting up LANs, routers, firewalls, Aruba Wi-Fi, and network switches.
  • Domain Administration: Manage Active Directory, group policies, user and group permissions.
  • Intranet and SharePoint: Administer and maintain intranet and SharePoint platforms.
  • Database Management: Set up and maintain databases when necessary.
  • Support Transitions: Aid in acquisitions, divestitures, and various migrations/upgrades (PCs, LAN, WAN, servers, printers, smartphones, VOIP, etc.).
User Support
  • Responsive Assistance: Manage day-to-day user requests, provide training, and implement new solutions.
  • Comprehensive Support: Offer local support for plant/site users and remote support for EMEA sites as needed.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with the TEIS team and our partners to deliver top-notch service.
IT Policies and Compliance
  • Policy Adherence: Apply IT policies related to security, change management, operations, and disaster recovery.
What Your Background Should Look Like:
  • Education: University degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft-based systems (Office Suite) and Active Directory.
  • Language: Excellent English skills are essential.
  • Customer Focus: Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer advocacy.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with global teams and external partners.
