As a Senior Security Advisor/ Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating security advisory initiatives across various teams within the Volvo Group. Your expertise will be essential in establishing the security architecture requirements that align with our organizational goals. Your ability to navigate complex environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders will be key to fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Approach: Drive the direction of our IT security capabilities, ensuring alignment with evolving security needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into design and implementation processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on security best practices in a multicultural environment.
  • Policy Compliance: Represent Enterprise IT Security in strategic initiatives, ensuring adherence to security policies. Conduct risk assessments and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance security awareness, fostering a culture where every employee contributes to our security posture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of our security framework and stay updated on industry trends to recommend enhancements against emerging threats.
Who are you?

We are expecting you to have a broad understanding and experience of the IT Security area. You have a good understanding of the IT security challenges in the current and future state of large enterprises to prepare the organization with the right processes, skills, relationships, and capabilities against growing IT security risks.

Hard skills and knowledge:

  • Proven knowledge of one or more well-known cyber-security frameworks (like ISF, NIST, SCF, ISO 27x, OWASP, etc.).
  • Security certification such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, SABSA or similar.
  • On premise and cloud network security technologies such as network segmentation, firewalling/load-balancing/VPN.
  • On premises, multicloud and hybrid interconnecting solutions.
  • Network discovery and visibility methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in threat modeling, risk assessment, exemption management.
  • Applied knowledge of modern application security area concepts like cloud security, container security, API security, infrastructure as a code security, modern IAM concepts like zero trust model or OAuth2/OIDC, etc.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in cyber security, information technology, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in IT Operations, Security & Development or Architecture.
  • Advisory & Coaching; Critical Thinking; Change Management; Communication & teamwork; Innovation Enthusiasm.
