Content of Work

As a Business Controller in the TECHNIA team, you will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis. You will collaborate with different departments, providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, optimizing processes, and working closely with management to drive efficiency and profitability.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Participate in the development and co-creation of the company's annual budget.
  • Forecast financial results and analyze variances against budget.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze company profitability and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and explain deviations between actual financial performance and budgets.
  • Prepare and interpret ad-hoc financial analyses and business information as required.
  • Develop business cases to assess the profitability of new initiatives & be involved as a business partner for potential new M&As.
  • Report monthly changes in costs and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Financial Control & Optimization:
  • Control and manage company revenues.
  • Exercise oversight of investment activities.
  • Optimize company costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Assess the financial implications of business decisions.
  • Process Improvement & Collaboration:
  • Streamline and simplify financial processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Continuously improve reporting and controlling processes.

Our Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Controlling or Financial Controlling.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Sound business acumen to diagnose performance issues and implement improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent business English (German language skills are a significant advantage).
