Senior Buyer - Packaging, (Flexible & Decoration & Tubes)

ABOUT PROCUREMENT
Part of the Supply Chain family, Procurement is responsible for over 30B Euro of material and services spend globally with more than 60,000 suppliers. Getting the right services and materials, sustainably sourced and ensuring responsible procurement is critical to ensuring our brands with purpose grow. Our teams work closely with the business to understand stakeholders' needs, bring innovation to meet changing consumer, employees, and customers' needs, and drive financial value for Unilever through competitive buying. JOB PURPOSE:

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE:

1. Sourcing/portfolio strategy
   
   • Execution of Sourcing Strategy, translating the global and regional strategy to respective sub-portfolio and business units.
   
   • Bring innovative ideas from suppliers and support BU teams on the pricing requests.
   
   • Establish a strong resilience plan for the business units and initiate alternative supplier approval process.
2. NMCI optimization/savings/buying performance
   
   • Competitively buy flexibles, decoration and tubes materials in scope of the role.
   
   • Intervene in Value Chain, increase the agreement on right to buy and full price transparency.
   
   • Identify new suppliers and develop them to strengthen resilience and create competition in the market.
   
   • Report the savings in the PEGA system.
3. Forecasting
   
   • Responsible for price forecasting, ensuring accuracy and completeness and communicating timely to key business stakeholders forecast updates.
4. Contracting and negotiation
   
   • Leading and supporting negotiations.
   
   • Ensure compliance to defined procurement procedures - contracting, contract management process.
   
   • Contract Price Creation in ICAT system, and quarterly price review with suppliers.
   
   • Close liaison with strategy and insights teams in identifying metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies.
   
   • Launching RFP's/e-tenders within appropriate timelines.
   
   • Ensuring Commercial Terms Contracts are signed off with Suppliers.
5. Supplier relationship management
   
   • Managing overall supplier relationships and regular connects.
   
   • Ensure compliance to our responsible sourcing policy.
   
   • Lead the rationalization of suppliers, materials, and services that meet Unilever's business requirements.
   
   • Support service, resilience, and quality strategies.

2. Strong at selling ideas to his/her business partners, internally and externally, translating these into effective proposals conveying value and communicating it accordingly.

Experience & Qualifications:
Min 3-5 years of experience in strategic procurement. Packaging experience is highly preferred.

• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or a related field would be beneficial.

• Experience on delivery of Cost, Saving, and Portfolio related projects.

• Experience in stakeholder and supplier management.

• Experience in managing business stakeholder's relationships.
