Senior Consultant - Electrical Engineer

The Senior Consultant will work on project management consultancy assignments for electrical design, grid connection, and general engineering of offshore wind farms and other (renewable) projects for our portfolio of clients. What you will be doing:

  • You will provide expert analysis and advice relating to, but not limited to; offshore transmission and array systems, grid interconnection, and power systems studies, owner's engineer technical advisory, technical due diligence, power systems desktop study roles, feasibility studies and permit designs.
  • Working as technical lead on projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to clients with the timeframe, costs and quality standards established.
  • Generating and prospecting leads – including representing OWC at conferences, seminars and meetings to establish business development leads and to market OWC to prospective clients.
  • Following up on leads to generate new work.
  • Independently preparing tenders and proposals.
  • Consulting on all matters of due diligence of procurement tenders and connection offers, technical studies of power systems, optimisation studies, technical problem solving, owner's engineering, design work and cost-benefit analysis for offshore/onshore renewable electrical systems and infrastructure.
  • Keeping projects on budget and on schedule.
  • Attending regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required.
  • Ensuring all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies.
  • Mentoring and supporting other team members.
  • Identifying and communicating relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities.

The role is office based in Warsaw, Poland and the candidate should have the right to live and work in Poland, with flexibility to working hours. Occasional onsite attendance may be expected. We are also happy to consider candidates based in other areas of Poland.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified to a degree standard in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science, or ideally a Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Electrical/Power Engineering. A Chartered member of a relevant professional institutional body is desirable.
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience as an electrical engineer, working on renewable energy, high voltage projects and related areas.
  • Capable to prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications and technical drawings (AutoCad).
  • Ability to quickly master engineering software, knowledge of electrical systems and power systems concepts.
  • Ability to co-ordinate, direct and lead complex projects and work under own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and experience of offshore wind farms/ renewable energy projects.
  • Expert in the use of the MS office package.
  • Project management ability.
  • Excellent English report writing skills.
  • Fluency in Polish and excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
