About the Project:

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala Developer to join our banking client's team.

Hybrid work model with a preference for once-a-week office presence in Warsaw, Gdańsk, or Gdynia.

  • Develop Scala/Spark jobs for data transformation and aggregation based on complex business requirements.
  • Work efficiently in a challenging and agile environment.
  • Perform unit tests on Scala code to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Raise pull requests, trigger builds, and release JAR versions for deployment using Jenkins pipelines.
  • Conduct peer reviews of code to maintain high standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on bugs raised and implement fixes.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • Excellent understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in the following technologies:
    • Jenkins
    • HQL (Hive Queries)
    • Shell scripting
    • GIT
    • Splunk
    • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and processes.

Nice to have:

  • Basic understanding of Python.
