About the project Techleader of data engineering will work in a Data Rich Testing environment, and will be tasked with building their own team to help deploy cutting edge Machine Learning techniques in a number of different areas of the company like owning the Company’s Big Data Platform, pushing out various cutting edge Data Science Models or Infrastructure Management of the huge Volumes of Data. This role would suit an ambitious Data Engineer coming from a background of either working in a fast growth scale up company, or someone who has worked within a large corporate and has an appetite for taking on more responsibility and autonomy and building tech & a team from scratch.
Your responsibilities Develop data pipelines / APIs using Java, Python, SQL, Flink, Airflow
Develop and train models to cater on (data-related) business use-cases
Use an analytical, data-driven approach to drive a deep understanding of fast changing environment
Build large-scale real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks
Build DataLake, ETLs
Our requirements Degree from fields such as Math’s, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
Software Development experience in data related developments
Understanding of Big Data technologies such as Flink, messaging services Kafka
SQL expertise, ideally including Postgres, MySQL, Oracle
Experience with Cloud Infrastructure
Experience in Docker & Kubernetes
Strong experience in managing a team
