Actuarial Consultant (Life and Health) Miejsce pracy: Gdańsk Your responsibilities developing and maintaining actuarial reserving and analysis tools for Life and Health departments
analyzing data and results to ensure the quality of our financial statements
supporting the central team and local entities during the quarterly closing and forecast processes
monitoring and reporting on reserving KPIs to senior actuaries and other stakeholders
participating in constant knowledge transfer, understanding dependencies to derive appropriate analyses approaches
preparing relevant actuarial data and designing and developing automation scripts when needed
understanding the financial reporting systems and dependencies between them
providing expertise and support for Clients/Partners (e.g. workshops, project meetings, trainings)
Our requirements fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
graduate degree in mathematics, economics or a comparable quantitative field
excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise approach and high attention to detail
advanced knowledge of the MS Office package
experience in coding (R, VBA, SAS, Prophet) and/or experience in working with databases (e.g. SQL, IBM Planning Analytics or MS Access)
high ability and willingness to understand technical as well as functional dependencies
proactivity, great organization skills and problem-solving abilities
willingness to develop further
high intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
intrigued to work in an international environment
Optional German language
actuarial qualification
work experience in local or international GAAP (IFRS17, Solvency II)
experience in the preparation of actuarial models in Prophet

About the role We are looking for Actuaries to join our team. In your role you will work closely with the Central Reserving Life and Health teams of ERGO Group, contributing to the development and execution of our quarterly closing processes.
