Documentation Engineer and Technical Content Writer

About a role: We are looking for a dedicated Documentation Engineer and Technical Content Writer to take lead in technical documentation process, working closely in an Agile team of engineers with internal and external vendors and stakeholders, to develop and deliver solution to leading global players within the offshore Wind industry. The core team operates out of Glamox Aalesund office, with important partners locally, as well as internal and external team members and stakeholders and customers spread globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for a specific industrial system development project.
  • Collaborating closely with development and delivery teams to ensure accurate and relevant documentation.
  • Ensuring all technical documentation complies with applicable standards, certifications, and regulations.
  • Creating, preparing and managing documentation for installation, operation, maintenance, and system interfaces, including integration with the customer's SCADA system.
  • Updating and refining existing documentation in line with project progress and customer feedback.
  • Supporting project-specific documentation needs, including bid materials and customer delivery documentation.
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing by organizing and managing structured documentation tools and workflows.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in technical English, with excellent writing and editing capabilities.
  • Solid technical knowledge of electrical and automation engineering concepts (understanding of electrical circuits).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in similar role.
  • Mid/Senior-level expertise in technical documentation for industrial systems. (Yet fresh and "young" mind ;))
  • Experience with Visio Drawings or other similar tool.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and methodical working style.
  • Familiarity with version control and documentation workflow tools.
  • Proven expertise in managing documentation in complex, fast-paced, and highly technical project.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Eager to learn, grow, and utilize efficient and innovative tools, including artificial intelligence, to enhance documentation processes and efficiency

Nice to have:

  • Certificate in technical writing.
