About the Role As a SQL & Multi-Database Administrator at Kolomolo , you will be the driving force behind designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions across multiple platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB , and Snowflake . You will lead migrations from on-premises to Azure and occasionally AWS , ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of our clients' data. What You'll Be Doing 13 years of IT experience with a minimum of 5 years on Azure or AWS Database Migration, guiding, managing, and governing the team. Willingness to provide 24x7 support, flexible to work in shifts. Strong background in multiple database technologies: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and some experience with Snowflake is highly desirable. Basic familiarity with AWS cloud environments is a plus. What We Are Looking For Understanding customer database landscapes across SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB . Configuring SQL Server HA/DR (FCI, AG) with multiple subnets, multiple regions, and Availability Sets. Configuring and administering security, policies, resource governance, and Azure Key Vault . Migrating databases from on-premises to Azure cloud using DMA, DMS, Azure Data Studio, Log Shipping, Backup & Restore, and various migration methods. Collaborating with internal and customer stakeholders and project managers to understand migration requirements and provide solutions. Driving cloud solutioning activities for large, complex migrations. Planning storage and capacity management, creating logical models, and building physical models. Installing and configuring SQL Server (all versions 200x to 2022). Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows and SQL Server issues. Nice to Have Design, implement, and operate database systems for performance and reliability in AWS or Azure. On-premises or cloud upgrades of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB from legacy to latest versions. Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, PowerShell , and automation scripts. Understanding of database performance using various monitoring tools. Conforming to client compliance and governance standards. Exposure to Snowflake data platform is a plus.
