We are seeking Engineering Leader who began career as software engineer with strong foundations in computer science or engineering and have risen through the ranks to lead high-performing engineering teams in technology companies. Ideal candidates will have deep experience building software products and driving professional services or consulting engagements across diverse industry verticals. As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will build and lead teams focused on data and AI-driven solutions , driving innovation, delivery excellence, and organizational growth for our clients in Life Insurance, Wealth Management, Life Sciences, Industrial, Retail, and other sectors. Responsibilities: Leadership & Strategy Build, scale, and lead high-impact engineering teams delivering data-driven and AI-powered solutions. Define and execute a long-term talent strategy across both technology and domain (business) roles. Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous learning , with a focus on engineering rigor and customer-centric delivery. Establish and manage budget planning, spend, and financial accountability for your portfolio. Technology & Execution Architect and deliver digital platforms and data products by translating complex business drivers into actionable solutions using cutting-edge GenAI and Agentic AI frameworks. Stay hands-on where needed – building PoCs, debugging, or guiding technical design. Set standards for engineering best practices and software development processes across engagements. Drive customer satisfaction metrics by ensuring high-quality deliverables with agility and scalability. Be the bridge between business and technology—advocate for engineering in business forums and vice versa. Business Engagement Act as the technical face to clients - drive executive interactions, initiate new programs, and resolve escalations. Partner with business teams to promote new business models and solutions, blending product engineering with consulting excellence . Expand strategic accounts by identifying opportunities for delivery-driven growth . Organizational Impact Represent Altimetrik at external forums, tech events, and blogs to promote our niche in digital business transformation . Promote and influence a strong engineering culture with focus on team development, coaching, and mentorship. Collaborate with global support and functional teams to enhance customer and employee experience . You need to possess: About 18-20 years of overall experience, with 8–10 years of full-stack engineering hands-on experience. Progressed from individual contributor to leading large, global engineering teams. Proven experience in building scalable software products and managing consulting engagements. At least 5 years in leading product engineering teams (preferably in Core/Transaction Banking, Payments, Retail or Healthcare). Demonstrated success managing multiple programs across distributed teams. Background in Software Engineering, Digital Solutions, and Digital Transformation is essential. Expertise in software development methodologies, enterprise-grade systems, and customer-specific solutions. Leading large global software engineering teams. Technical Expertise Strong grasp of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and real-time analytics. Deep knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and ability to still contribute code for PoCs. Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, RDBMS, NoSQL, and Python. Familiarity with Cloud ETL pipelines, data modeling, and data governance tools. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in AI/GenAI/Agentic AI frameworks and use cases. Strategic Leadership Ability to inspire and grow engineering talent through coaching and hands-on guidance. Experience managing large engineering teams. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in a globally distributed setup. A culture champion with the ability to drive decisive execution and deliver measurable impact.
