Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. Preferred qualifications: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. Experience in utilizing Data Engineering skills for pipelining, scripting and SQL coding/querying, data cleaning for downstream data analysis and reporting. Experience with Python and SQL. Experience with code reviews, project scoping, planning and prioritization, mentoring and communicating with the teams. Ability to communicate and serve as a technical advocate to promote and accelerate the adoption of the platform. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. In this role, you will help in guiding the business strategy of the Android and Business communications products and impact users. You will have high-visibility within the organisation, working with multiple teams in the domain of communication services, across various products. You will be providing a low latency, reliable, easy-to-use, privacy compliant analytics platform and solutions for decision making. Responsibilities Define the way logs and metrics should be exported, processed and consumed by collaborating across teams within the engineering organization. Define and implement Service Level Objectives that track user experience, platform usage, and overall business impact. Build, evolve and maintain infrastructures to process data. Drive adoption of the Analytics Framework across the organization by onboarding new products, conducting training workshops, and serving as a platform advocate.
