The candidate will be responsible for managing database migrations, mapping processes, and working on migration scripts. A strong knowledge of Ruby and Python, the ability to navigate code, and easily find necessary information is required. Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes are crucial. Your responsibilities Contribute to development and oversee the delivery of new projects. Provide technical estimations and support planning for new and ongoing initiatives. Ensure code quality, architectural consistency, and adherence to development standards. Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices. Supervise technical delivery, remove blockers, and guide the team toward effective solutions. Assign tasks, manage technical priorities, and oversee workload distribution. Drive continuous improvement, internal technical processes, and innovation within the team. Manage Technical Teams: Mentor engineers, provide coaching, and run regular 1:1 feedback sessions. Support individual development plans, career growth, and succession planning. Handle short-term resource conflicts and team allocation. Foster collaboration, transparency, and a strong team culture aligned with company values. Manage team balance, availability, and time-off calendars when needed. Support recruitment processes, including technical screening and onboarding. Our requirements Experience in managing technical teams: mentoring engineers, conducting regular 1:1 feedback sessions, supporting individual development plans, career growth, succession planning, task allocation, and managing team priorities and workload. 6 years of experience in Ruby on Rails. Solid experience with Active Record and RSpec. Experience working on production applications in AWS or Heroku. Strong background with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL). Experience writing tests / TDD or a strong culture of testing. Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience in technical planning, estimations, and delivery oversight. Experience supporting recruitment processes (technical screening, onboarding). Ability to foster collaboration, transparency, and a positive team culture. Polish and English at B2 level. Optional Experience leading teams in a remote-first environment. Experience working in consulting or multi-client environments.
