About the Role – Staff Engineer - Java Architect We are seeking an experienced Java Architect to lead the design, development, and architecture of scalable, robust software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor developers, and ensure that architectural strategy aligns with business objectives. This role requires both strong technical depth and leadership excellence. Key Responsibilities Architectural Design: Define and document scalable, secure application architecture using Java (back-end) and React (front-end). Technology Leadership: Mentor teams, drive technical decisions, and enforce best practices. Solution Development: Lead the design of complex systems integrating front-end and back-end layers. Code Quality: Conduct and oversee code reviews to ensure maintainable, high-quality software. Innovation: Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance. Collaboration: Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Risk & Performance Management: Identify risks early and ensure performance optimization, high availability, and security. Required Skills & Experience Technical Expertise Extensive experience in Java (Spring, Spring Boot) for building back-end services. Proven ability in RESTful API design and microservices architecture. Strong understanding of front-end integration (React, Redux) and responsive design. Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, and CI/CD practices. Familiarity with architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM) and event-driven architectures. Leadership & Problem-Solving 3 years in an architectural or technical leadership role. Excellent stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities. Strong analytical and decision-making skills to solve complex technical challenges. Education & Certifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 10 years in software development with strong focus on Java. Cloud, React, or Java certifications are a plus. Soft Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
