The people you'll like to work with and things you'll enjoy impacting: As a Senior Tax Specialist your mission will be to manage tax compliance and planning across our Polish operations. You'll be the ideal candidate if you bring a deep understanding of Polish tax regulations, enjoy tackling complex tax challenges, and have a passion for creating efficient processes in a fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing… Tax Compliance Prepare and file CIT return and calculation in accordance with Polish tax laws and regulations. Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns. Liaise with tax authorities and handle audits or inquiries. Tax Planning and Advisory Provide strategic tax advice, identifying opportunities to reduce liabilities. Stay up to date with Polish tax legislation and assess its impact on the business. Develop and implement tax-efficient processes and structures. Financial Reporting Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements. Collaborate with the finance team on budgets and forecasts from a tax perspective, ensuring tax impacts are accurately reflected. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, providing insights into potential tax liabilities and opportunities for tax planning. Internal Controls and Compliance Maintain robust internal controls related to tax compliance and reporting. Regularly review and audit tax processes to ensure adherence to both internal policies and external regulations. Provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters to ensure understanding and compliance with tax rules. Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you're going to need… Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Polish or international accountancy certification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA). 5+ years of experience in corporate and VAT tax preparation in Poland, with proven expertise in Polish tax laws and experience liaising with Polish tax authorities. Experience handling tax audits and providing strategic tax advice. Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Fluency in Polish and English, both written and spoken. It will also help you to have… Knowledge of ERP Dynamics NAV. Experience in tax planning and identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
