These teams will be shaping the future of retail by building and evolving Castorama's mobile app, e-commerce platform, and the back-office systems that power store operations across Poland. We are going through an exciting period of change and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Android Quality Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a QE for this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of the data that is produced for use by our front-end teams. If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and make a real impact by building better software, this is the job for you Responsibilities Understand requirements such as functionality, usability, accessibility, performance, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, scope, and deliverables for each release cycle. Create detailed test plans, including test cases, test data, and test environments. Own the test execution process, including test case creation, prioritisation, and scheduling. Manual testing as necessary, ensuring the highest level of product quality. Establish and maintain test environments. Collaborate with the development and DevOps teams to ensure proper configuration and availability of test environments. Identify and implement improvements to the test infrastructure to streamline the testing process. Operate an effective defect management process, including defect tracking, reporting, and resolution. Work closely with the development team to analyse, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues reported during testing. Prioritise and escalate critical defects to ensure quick resolution and maintain an elevated level of product quality. Skills and experience Proven experience as a Quality Engineer across mobile applications Experience testing GraphQL, REST, and similar web APIs Hands-on experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g. Jira, TestRail) Solid understanding of Quality Assurance practices within Agile methodologies Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and leadership abilities, with proven collaboration across cross-functional teams Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative ideas within mobile app QA processes, driving measurable improvements Proficiency with Android testing tools and frameworks Espresso (Kotlin) and Kaspresso for UI automation, Android Studio and Android Emulator for development and local testing Familiarity with CI/CD and mobile release tooling (GitLab CI, BitRise, Fastlane, AppCenter, TestFlight) Awareness of Jetpack Compose for Android UI development and related testing approaches Excellent command of English (written and spoken) To get to know us better visit: LinkedIn Kingfisher plc
