Aon Hewitt's Global Privacy Office is seeking a highly experienced Privacy Counsel to join the EMEA team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on privacy and data protection matters.

Responsibilities
  • You will support privacy advisory matters, including reviewing and negotiating privacy agreements with clients and suppliers; conducting privacy impact assessments; assisting with incidents; and advising on data subject requests;
  • You will provide practical advice to Aon business and shared services leaders on their privacy and data protection risks;
  • You will work closely with the EMEA Privacy team and other regional Privacy teams of the Global Privacy Office;
  • You will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with members of the business and work proactively with them to identify, mitigate and address privacy risks;
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-7 years relevant advisory experience on privacy and data protection law and regulation, especially the GDPR;
  • Experience in reviewing data privacy agreements is essential;
  • Legal background (officially certified) is required;
  • CIPP certification is an asset;
  • Excellent English written and oral communications skills (min C1 level) are necessary;
  • You must have experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating privacy contracts with clients and suppliers;
  • You should have experience with privacy impact assessments with local, regional and global reach;
  • You must be able to deal with data incidents/breaches, including notifications to authorities and data subjects;
  • You should have experience analyzing and advising on the response to data subject requests;
