Job Summary

Aristocrat Interactive is seeking a highly skilled SQL DB Administrator to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, security, and efficiency of our databases.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of database structures and architectures, as well as experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform performance tuning, query optimization, database installations, configurations, updates, backups, and monitoring.
  • Provide support for multiple environments, including development, test, and production.
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve problems affecting database performance, efficiency, and availability.
  • Improve and support processes to ensure zero application downtime on critical issues or during database deployment of new application releases.
  • Work according to documentation, guidelines, and policies of working procedures.
  • Clearly communicate problems and resolution processes to customers and/or management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service by continuously striving to provide the highest possible customer service; make recommendations for improving service and efficiencies.
  • Provide support for the operation teams 24/7, on call in off-work hours only for critical issues (one week a month).
  • Maintain database security in compliance with APEI policies, GDPR, and PCI security standards.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a DBA/MS SQL Server Developer.
  • Deep and wide understanding of databases' structure and architecture.
  • Writing complicated T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Motivated, team player with ability to learn fast and great analysis skills.
