At DCG, we strive to deliver exceptional results through collaboration and a customer-centric approach. As a mid-sized recruitment agency with an ever-growing portfolio of projects, we are currently looking for a skilled Data Engineer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated individual to develop, optimize, and maintain complex big data pipelines that cater to business intelligence and statistical modeling needs.
  • This role requires close attention to detail to ensure data quality and integrity across all stages of the data lifecycle.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and configuring scalable data storage systems, including SQL databases and data lakes.
  • A strong emphasis is placed on managing and supporting production use cases involving connections between key components of the data infrastructure.
  • The ideal candidate should possess expertise in writing secure, efficient, and maintainable code that effectively translates business concepts into practical solutions.
  • In addition to these core responsibilities, the selected candidate will be expected to drive engineering best practices such as automation, CI/CD, and maintainability.
  • They will also support standardization and automation efforts by adhering to industry-standard development practices.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of BI analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and core IT personnel to deliver high-impact data-driven solutions.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate should possess broad skills in Python, SQL, MDX, and bash scripting languages.
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with Azure data components, including Data Factory, Synapse, Datalake, Blob Storage, Sharepoint, and Databricks.
  • Experience with data workflow orchestration tools such as ADF, Databricks Jobs, and possibly Airflow.
  • A good command of version control and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with Snowflake and its integration with Azure cloud services.
  • Strong English language skills, with a business-ready level (B2-C1).
  • Familiarity with data governance concepts, including catalogues, metadata, data lineage, master data, security, and compliance.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with SAP Business Warehouse as a data source.
  • Possession of an Azure Data Engineer/Data Analytics certificate.
  • Understanding of business intelligence tools, such as Power BI.
  • Experience with PySpark/Scala programming frameworks.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and relevant experience.
