Our Business Services Unit

In 2022, we expanded our scope of operations by creating a Business Services unit, which contributes to the growth of ERGO's business by adding non-IT value and supporting the development of the entire ERGO Group. Our team offers skills in reporting, analysis, actuarial, and input management.

The Role

We are seeking Actuaries and professionals with experience in the insurance industry to join our team. As an Actuarial Risk Management Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our closing processes, analyzing risk capital and own funds, and preparing data quality checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support closing processes by carrying out IM and SF calculations
  • Analyze risk capital and own funds movements and provide explanations for the risk report
  • Prepare and perform data quality checks and roll forward ORSA, RSR, and SFCR
  • Accompany product development and maintenance processes and provide risk opinions
  • Support the development and maintenance of IDP tools
Requirements
  • Fluent English and German
  • University degree in mathematics, computer science, or comparable education with a focus on financial mathematics
  • Professional experience in Life and/or Health insurance (German market) in at least one of the following fields: risk management, actuarial, statistics, IFRS 17, or ALM
  • Competence to provide professional guidance
  • Independent way of working and high level of commitment and integrity
  • Very good communication skills and strong team spirit
  • Proactive approach to work
  • Will to travel abroad (once-twice per quarter, 2/3 days)
