Job Summary:

As a Reinsurance Expert at Zurich Australian Insurance Ltd., you will be responsible for analyzing and executing complex reinsurance transactions and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to terms of reinsurance agreements and departmental standards.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Analyze and perform intermediate to complex reinsurance transactions and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of reinsurance agreements and department standards.
  • Collaborate with internal Zurich business partners and external reinsurance customers to identify and address any issues related to reinsurance transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, communicating effectively and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to reinsurance transactions and financial reporting, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas related to reinsurance transactions and financial reporting.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or insurance/reinsurance.
  • Proven expertise in reinsurance, including reinsurance types and layering.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate to advanced level).
