Data Engineer (All Genders) Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Schaeffler Global Services Europe Sp. z o.o. in Wroclaw, Poland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement large-scale data architectures across business and functions, ensuring seamless integration and data quality.
  • Develop conceptual and semantic data models for integrating, exploring, and retrieving data from heterogeneous data sources and IT systems.
  • Take ownership of data engineering tasks for designing and implementing data pipelines as part of overarching solution architectures.
  • Administer and automate operational processes using DevOps technologies such as GitHub, Jenkins, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects, DevOps engineers, and analysts on projects.
  • Ensure quality deliverables through regular peer reviews and knowledge sharing sessions within the product team and across teams.
  • Work in interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams following agile methodology.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple sources and IT systems, such as ERP, DWH, Web Services, CRM, and MES.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments and services, preferably with Azure.
  • Fluent English language skills, with German being beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and agile environments, with a strong agile mindset.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills.
