We are seeking an experienced Jr. Legal Counsel to join our dynamic and fast-paced legal team in Warsaw, Poland. As a key member of our regional counsel team, you will support multiple markets and business units across Europe, handling commercial, competition, regulatory, and privacy matters.

About the Role

  1. Commercial Contract Management: Review, analyze, and draft commercial contracts with customers and vendors in the Territory.
  2. Contract Negotiations: Support your business stakeholders in their contract negotiations, providing expert guidance and advice.
  3. Contract Administration: Manage contract administration, including renewal tracking and filing, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  4. Legal Research: Prepare correspondence, memos, presentations, and conduct legal research to support business decisions.
  5. Competition Law Risk Assessment: Assess and provide guidance on competition law risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business and procurement teams across the Territory, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
  7. Corporate Governance: Maintain corporate minute books, draft resolutions, and powers of attorney, ensuring seamless corporate operations.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the timely filing of annual financial statements and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  9. Intercompany Agreements: Draft and track intercompany agreements and arrangements, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  10. Market Insights: Monitor legal issues and regulatory changes impacting beverage alcohol products and business operations, providing timely insights and recommendations.
  11. Training and Development: Provide compliance-related training on anti-bribery, competition law, and privacy, empowering colleagues with knowledge and skills.
  12. Policies and Procedures: Implement compliance-related policies, processes, procedures, and controls, ensuring a culture of compliance and integrity.
  13. External Partnerships: Act as a competition law expert for the region, working with a cross-functional team to develop and implement long-term competition strategy.
  14. Outside Counsel Management: Manage Outside Counsel, supporting the process of engaging and managing outside counsel in the Territory and budget management.
  15. General Legal Support: Provide general legal support and advice on a broad range of commercial, competition, privacy, regulatory, and compliance matters.
  16. Representation: Represent the company in court proceedings and before state authorities, ensuring effective representation and resolution.
  17. Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner, effectively communicating legal concepts to stakeholders and driving business outcomes.

About You

  1. Master's Degree in Law.
  2. Legal Counsel Diploma or Working Towards.
  3. Preferably Prior Legal Experience in the areas and job duties identified above (1-3 years) and in a multinational environment.
  4. Language Fluency: Written and spoken Polish and English language fluency.
  5. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and prioritize pragmatic solutions.
  6. Organization and Time Management: Great organization and time management skills, ensuring efficient task completion.
  7. Motivation and Responsibility: High motivation to achieve defined goals, sense of responsibility, and engagement in assigned tasks.
  8. Initiative and Judgment: Demonstrated self-starter with a high level of initiative to make independent judgments.
  9. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills: building strong relationships and partnerships with colleagues and functional and business clients across the company.
  10. Persuasion and Negotiation: Strong persuasion, negotiation, and collaboration skills, excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills with the ability to clearly relay complex information and give pragmatic direction and guidance.
