Key Responsibilities
Your primary objectives will include:
- Identifying and resolving reasons for delinquency within established invoice terms.
- Focusing on collections for assigned accounts with aged balances.
- Responding to internal and external calls/emails in a prompt and professional manner.
- Collaborating with customers to resolve collection issues, determine root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Accurately documenting all customer interactions in business systems according to work process guidelines.
- Maintaining productivity standards in daily and monthly assignments.
- Negotiating account resolutions and researching adjustments requests for reconciliation activities.
- Partnering with Cash Applications and Billing organizations to resolve missing or unclear payment applications.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- At least 1 year of experience in business-to-business collections.
- Proficiency in day-to-day use of an Oracle platform (preferably).
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLookup and Pivot Tables (a plus).
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to identify impacts on accounts.
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes (desired).
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with good judgment and follow-through.
- Attention to detail and accounting experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of debits, credits, and account reconciliation (required).
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to process changes due to growth.
- Strong knowledge of Order, Billing, and A/R payment cycles.
- Ability to multitask, collaborate, and communicate effectively with individuals.
- Quick learner and self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
