Key Responsibilities

Your primary objectives will include:

  1. Identifying and resolving reasons for delinquency within established invoice terms.
  2. Focusing on collections for assigned accounts with aged balances.
  3. Responding to internal and external calls/emails in a prompt and professional manner.
  4. Collaborating with customers to resolve collection issues, determine root causes, and recommend process improvements.
  5. Accurately documenting all customer interactions in business systems according to work process guidelines.
  6. Maintaining productivity standards in daily and monthly assignments.
  7. Negotiating account resolutions and researching adjustments requests for reconciliation activities.
  8. Partnering with Cash Applications and Billing organizations to resolve missing or unclear payment applications.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in business-to-business collections.
  • Proficiency in day-to-day use of an Oracle platform (preferably).
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLookup and Pivot Tables (a plus).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to identify impacts on accounts.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement processes (desired).
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with good judgment and follow-through.
  • Attention to detail and accounting experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of debits, credits, and account reconciliation (required).
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to process changes due to growth.
  • Strong knowledge of Order, Billing, and A/R payment cycles.
  • Ability to multitask, collaborate, and communicate effectively with individuals.
  • Quick learner and self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
