Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team at Novo Nordisk A/S.

This role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing accounting and tax matters for our entities in Poland.

Main responsibilities:

  • Delivering timely and high-quality Group reporting in cooperation with Global Business Services India and external statutory reporting in cooperation with an outsourcing service provider.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and supporting external tax service providers to ensure tax compliance.
  • Managing internal controls and liaising with external and internal auditors.
  • Providing training and supporting local organizations on company-standard processes within finance topics, serving as the first point of contact for accounting matters for the Line of Business.
  • Leading or participating in ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting.
  • An academic degree in Finance or Accounting, with a Master's degree and Certification in Accounting considered advantageous.
  • Experience and knowledge of IFRS, Polish GAAP (Ustawa o Rachunkowości), general tax matters, and strong expertise in SAP.
  • Experience from an international and/or pharmaceutical company is considered a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, quality, process, and results-driven, with high-level accounting expertise.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Polish and English.

This role is ideal for a motivated and team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and work efficiently under deadlines.
