Senior Data Engineer Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team of technology experts on challenging projects across various industries. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of our AI and Big Data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement scalable data management architectures, infrastructure, and platform solutions for streaming and batch processing using Big Data technologies like Snowflake and Airflow.

  2. Design and implement data management and data governance processes and best practices.

  3. Contribute to the development of CI/CD and MLOps processes.

  4. Develop applications to aggregate, process, and analyze data from diverse sources.

  5. Collaborate with the Data Science team on Machine Learning projects, including text/image analysis and predictive model building.

  6. Translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure optimal performance and quality.

Requirements

  1. 6+ years of proven commercial experience implementing, developing, or maintaining Big Data systems.

  2. Strong programming skills in Python: writing clean code, OOP design.

  3. Experience in designing and implementing data governance and data management processes.

  4. Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies like Snowflake, Airflow, Druid, Iceberg, and Kubernetes.

  5. Proven expertise in implementing and deploying solutions in cloud environments (with a preference for Azure and AWS).

  6. Excellent understanding of dimensional data and data modeling techniques.

  7. Excellent communication skills and consulting experience with direct interaction with clients.

  8. Ability to work independently and take ownership of project deliverables.

  9. Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
