The Tax & Statutory Reporting Manager (Chief Accountant) leads a team of specialists responsible for preparing and submitting reports, including statutory financial statements, direct and indirect taxes, and other regulatory requirements. This role involves ensuring timely completion of financial statements and tax returns in adherence to Hyva's global and local policies.

This position requires driving end-to-end process improvements, standardization, and centralization within the Shared Service Center (SSC). Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting SSC Team in month-end closing process and providing guidance on daily operations.
  • Managing dispersed teams across different EMEA locations with effective remote management skills.
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members, fostering an environment conducive to achieving individual and collective goals.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of all tax returns, declarations, and mandated reports, encompassing both direct and indirect taxes.
  • Preparing or managing the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP.
  • Calculating current and deferred tax in alignment with Hyva's accounting policies based on IFRS.
  • Ensuring compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations through the maintenance of local transfer pricing files.
  • Efficiently coordinating external audit processes, ensuring time and cost effectiveness.
  • Managing ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors, including tax advisors to optimize external expertise.
  • Cultivating a Continuous Process Improvement (CI) mindset, challenging the status quo to identify the most efficient ways of working.
  • Collaborating with the Global Tax Manager to implement process standardization and best practice policies.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor degree or higher.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced English language proficiency.
  • Experience in a multi-national environment.
  • Leadership expertise with readiness to manage remote teams across different locations.
