Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Software Engineering Manager at TechnipFMC, you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding a team of software engineers to develop high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Apply your strong knowledge and expertise in Kotlin/Java, TypeScript, React, and AWS technologies to guide the team in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with software architects to define and evolve the technical architecture of applications.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and improve system efficiency.
  • Promote and facilitate agile software development practices, including continuous integration, automated testing, and iterative development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve software development processes and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the team's performance and the success of software development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Team Lead/Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software engineering, with expertise in Kotlin/Java, TypeScript, React, and AWS technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading software engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience in software project management, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in agile (Scrum) development practices and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in performance optimization, scalability, and security considerations.
  • Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
