As a Service Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work for a leading global engineering company that pioneers in the design and manufacture of vertical access solutions.
Job Overview:The role involves providing technical expertise to customers across various industries, with a focus on Building Maintenance Units (BMUs). You will be based in the Southeast of England and will be required to travel frequently to customer sites.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing technical specifications to procurement teams and supervising suppliers.
- Working from home when not on customer site, with flexibility to respond to call-outs at short notice.
- PLC fault finding on BMUs.
- Monitoring and controlling the quality of work, and formalizing project closures.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar position, ideally field-based and working on customer sites.
- Ideal experience with PLC systems (modifying existing code or fault finding).
- Able to work with minimal supervision, while being an effective team player as part of a structured team.
- Ideal experience working within Building Maintenance Units or from offshore/forces background.
- Must be comfortable working at heights, general movement of tools and equipment, and providing a fast and efficient service.
- Good communicator and professional in demeanor.
- Full UK driving license required.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
- Pension with company contribution and healthcare scheme.
- Hours: 40-47.5 hours per week, door-to-door - and uplifts when working on site (OTE earning 55k).
- Overtime: 1.5 for weekdays and double time working Saturday and Sunday. Overtime can be claimed as soon as they work over 9.5 hours in a day.
- Call-out rota: Staying away payments are included, this is very limited though.
