Job Description:

  As a Derivative Expert Professional, you will work with a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, Global Market and investment management services to a substantial and diversified client base. The role is based in New York, with offices in London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Bengaluru, Hong Kong and other major financial centers around the world.

  Responsibilities:

  1. Review and negotiate ISDA, CSA and Derivative Master Agreements and related ancillary documents.
  2. Collaborate with external counsel to gather comments and information on legal opinions regarding netting and collateral enforceability.
  3. Work with counterparts to gather comments and information, and organize execution of completed agreements for dispatch to counterparts' signature.
  4. Ensure return of signed documents and completion of files.
  5. Provide input to various departments, including the front office, on master documentation.
  6. Identify risks and improve the effectiveness of the team through analysis and recommendation.
  7. Develop and nurture relationships across the firm to build consensus and execute initiatives.
  8. Offer innovative client solutions by taking an entrepreneurial and analytical approach.

  Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen interest in derivative, repo, securities lending markets and products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to interact with business stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to review detailed legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills, especially under pressure.
  • Capacity to adapt to various technology platforms.
  • Potential to learn and develop documentation skills.
